Jiangsu police cracked a large case of knock-off luxury goods, involving 20 million yuan
After over two months of secret investigation, the police in Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone of Suzhou, Jiangsu Province began to dismantle the gang on June 1, 2018.
Divided into three teams, the police launched unexpected investigation and 26 suspects were all under control on the spot. At the warehouse of industrial park, over 7,800 items of fake branded goods, 31 computers and 21 cell phones were detained, including fake bags, shoes, bracelets and garments. Also, the main suspect surnamed Chen was caught at last. Based on the initial market valuation, the seized fake goods reached 20 million yuan in total. Now, compulsory criminal measures have been imposed on 26 suspects by the police for crime of counterfeit products production and sales. According to the laws, merchants knowingly selling the counterfeits will be severely punished.
