Three gangs printed and sold hundreds of thousands pirated books, with 200 million yuan involved

On April 11, jointly supervised by the National Office against Pornographic and Illegal Publications, the Supreme People’s Court, the Supreme People’s Procuratorate, Ministry of Public Security and National Copyright Administration, the “December 27” copyright infringement case was under open trial at the Hi-tech Industrial Development Area Court of Hefei City, Anhui Province. 16 defendants appeared in court.
As of press time, the court had not made judgement.
The case brought to the destruction of three criminal gangs, both online and offline and 4 counterfeit warehouses. Over 250,000 pirated books in over 200 kinds were detained, with over 200 million yuan involved.
