Market Regulation Bureau of Changning District in Shanghai tracked down a batch of counterfeits infringing upon well-known foreign trademarks

Recently, the law enforcement staff of Xianxia branch under Changning Market Regulation Bureau of Shanghai discovered when they conducted regular inspection at Bingu Square that a store called Ms. Zhao’s infringed upon the exclusive trademark rights of some branded leather bags, shoes and scarf.

It was found out that 55 items of goods involving 22 models of 8 brands - Hermes, Prada, Celine, LV, Chanel, Dior, Gucci and Burberry - were detained by the law enforcement staff according to the laws. Considering the large volume and amount of goods involved, the case is pending for confirmation and assessment by the trademark holders. If the amount involved in this case is up to the level of criminal prosecution, Changning Market Regulation Bureau will transfer the case to the public security organ in a timely manner, so as to maintain the market business order with real actions and protect the legitimate rights and interests of trademark holders and consumers.
