Shandong uncovered 43 cases and fined 620,000 yuan in the “Fair Wind Action” for fighting against counterfeiting and IPR protection

Since the “Fair Wind Action” for fighting against counterfeiting and IPR protection deployed by General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine in 2015, Shandong Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau (SDCIQ) have been making efforts to strengthen all-round quality supervision., So far, SDCIQ has registered and investigated 47 cases about counterfeiting of import and export goods, among which 43 were under administrative punishment with 627,700 yuan fined and 2 cases were transferred to the public security authority.

It is learned that from 2015 up to now, Shandong Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau conducted traceability investigation into 4,279 returned industrial products and 43 cases of goods notification. On-spot investigation has been organized for 2,069 times. 1,282 batches of import and export goods have gone through random inspection out of catalogue, among which 417 were found sub-standard, with the defective rate of 32.5%. Regarding each sub-standard case, analysis and traceability investigation was carried out and those involving counterfeiting act were handled according to the law. The counterfeiting acts uncovered by SDCIQ in the “Fair Wind Action” include falsification of health certificates, quarantine certificates, test reports and fake declaration of goods.
