Tongling: a gang of liquor counterfeiting cracked, with the value of over 2 million yuan involved

Recently, the police in Tongling, Anhui province successfully uncovered a case of registered trademark counterfeiting supervised and handled by the Ministry of Public Security under public supervision. A gang involved with production and sales of fake liquor was destroyed, with 9 suspects being caught. At the site, over 1,800 bottles of fake liquor bearing a famous trademark, 3 sets of equipment used for counterfeiting and over 10,000 packaging fittings were seized. Three hideouts of counterfeit production were destroyed, with the value involved exceeding 2 million yuan, marking the biggest achievements in this year’s anti-counterfeiting campaign in the city. Recently, the case was transferred to the procuratorate for review and prosecution.
