Chongqing Customs uncovered the largest IP infringement case locally

On September 12, Chongqing Customs announced that it uncovered the largest IP infringement case in the channel of luggage and postal articles locally. A total of 860 postal parcels may allegedly infringe upon famous trademarks and 999 pieces of goods are counterfeits of international well-known brands.
Based on initial verification, the above-mentioned goods are all knockoffs. Considering the large volume of goods involved, Chongqing Customs has notified the anti-counterfeiting department of Chongqing Public Security Bureau about the case clue after seizing all the involved goods, in accordance with the regulations related to “linkage of administrative law enforcement and criminal justice”. Now, the case is pending for further handling.
