SAMR paid a visit to Shanxi for the work inspection over crackdown on IPR infringement and counterfeiting, comprehensive law enforcement and reform and SMME development
On August 22 and 23, a group led by Lu Zhengmin, Deputy Head of the Office of National Leading Group on the Fight against IPR Infringement and Counterfeiting and the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR), and Jia Yukui, Deputy Director of the Development Research Center of SAMR paid a visit to Shanxi Province for study and survey on the work related to the crackdown on IPR infringement and counterfeiting, comprehensive law enforcement reform and SMME development. The group had a workshop with the local officials in charge of the anti-counterfeiting work in Shanxi, and exchanged views on the issues of understanding the importance of anti-counterfeiting work, the progress and shortcoming about the relevant work in recent years, the new forms of IPR infringement and counterfeiting in new situations. and key and difficult matters in the crackdown work, etc. The unique practice, work highlights and experience about the combat against IPR infringement and counterfeiting by the local competent authorities were briefed and the long-term mechanism to be established concerning the crackdown work was also widely discussed.
In the city of Lv Liang, the group visited Fenjiu Group and discussed with the staff about how to promote the anti-fake and IPR protection work, public-private cooperation and new changes in the current manufacture and sales of counterfeit liquor. Meanwhile, the team building of comprehensive law enforcement was discussed. Qiao Baogui, Inspector of Shanxi Administration for Market Regulation reported the reform development, including the function and team integration, manning quota and tiers of the comprehensive law enforcement by the whole local system for market regulation.
Besides, the group also held a discussion with the representatives of SMME at Shanxi transformation and comprehensive demonstration zone.Guo Xin’an, Inspector and Head of Registration Division of Shanxi Administration for Market Regulation introduced the major work and results achieved in the process of building a good business environment and supporting the development of SMMEs. The representatives from 10 enterprises indicated the current problems with development and their expectation for the market regulators to serve the development of enterprises. The group affirmed the performance of provincial market regulators in advancing the reforms to delegate power, streamline administration and optimize government services and encouraged the local staff to continuously take active measures to implement the reform and boost the economic transformation and development of Shanxi.
