The legal forum of China Roundtable Meeting on Market Regulation Development held in Beijing
On August 21, the Legal Forum of China Roundtable Meeting on Market Regulation Development was held in Beijing. Gan Lin, Deputy Head of State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) attended and addressed the meeting. The faculties from China University of Political Sscience and Law, University Of Chinese Academy Of Social Sciences, and Law Schools of Tsinghua University, Peking University, Renmin University of China, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Wuhan University, Law School with Central University of Finance and Economics, University of International Business and Economics, East China University of Political Science and Law and Jilin University as well as the officials from the Legal Regulation Department and the Development and Research Center of SAMR attended the meeting.
After hearing from the comments and recommendations, Gan underlined that the CPC Central Committee and the central government attach high importance to the legal building of market regulation and the institutional reform offers new opportunities for improving the legal system of market regulation. The legal forum aims at building a high-level cooperation and research platform, themed “thought on improving the market regulation legal system”, where the experts of legal schools and universities are invited to discuss the policies and theories about key and major issues of legislation and law enforcement in the field of market regulation, bring into play the role of specialists and experts and offer policy and consultancy recommendations for the research on how to enhance law making and law enforcement in the market regulation.
Gan Lin hoped that experts can give sustained attention to the reform and development of market regulation. She also wished a better legal forum in the future to link the market regulators and experts and contribute to the improvement of legal system and regulatory mechanism for market regulation.
The China Roundtable on Market Regulation Development is hosted by the Development and Research Center of SAMR. Six formal meetings and three thematic dialogues were successfully held.
