SAMR and 33 other government agencies jointly launch the event of 2018 “month of quality”
In September 2018, the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) worked with other 33 government departments to jointly deploy the 2018 national activity for “month of quality” with a theme on “strengthening the market regulation and building a quality-strong country”.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of reform and opening-up and also the 40th national “month of quality” event, which represents one of the landmark events of reform and opening-up.
The “month of quality” event this year is the first campaign launched by SAMR after its reorganization. As it was proposed in the 19th CPC National Congress to build a country strong in quality, the “month of quality” of 2018 themed“strengthening the market regulation and building a quality-strong country” is aiming to earnestly fulfill the decision and deployment of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, bring into full play the role of market competition mechanism, spur the impetus of quality and innovation and unleash the vigor of quality improvement through strengthened comprehensive market regulation and a unified, open and orderly competitive market environment and promote the quality improvement in products, projects and service with people at the core, accelerate the construction of quality-powered country and push forward the high quality development.
This year, focusing on quality-centered rectification, consumer right protection, quality rising, business environment improvement and quality-related publicity, 160 activities were under planning and arrangement, offering enterprises intrinsic impetus to improve quality, promote upgraded and transformed development and provide practical solution to public concerns about quality.
Among ohters, three major types of activities will be focused as follows: 42 activities for ensuring the quality and security; 36 activities for quality improvement; 21 activities for consumer’s services.
