On October 2 (local time), the series of meetings of the 57th WIPO Assemblies kicked off in Geneva, Switzerland. SIPO Commissioner Shen Changyu led the Chinese delegation to attend the meetings. At the opening meeting, Shen Changyu briefed the latest progress made by China on the IPR work in the past year and expressed appreciation towards WIPO for its achievement in various aspects. Shen said that China would continue to adhere to the concepts of cooperation, win-win development and sharing so as to make positive contributions to the construction of global IPR system. Shen also hoped that the WIPO’s committees could carry out work smoothly.
Ma Zhaoxu, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Geneva and Zhou Huilin, Deputy Head of the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television of China (SAPPRFT) (National Copyright Administration) attended the meeting. The Chinese delegation was composed of representatives from SIPO, SAIC, SAPPRFT, Permanent Mission to Geneva and IP Department of Hong Kong SAR.
