SC General Office forwarded the Opinions on Expanding Imports and Promoting the Balanced Development of Foreign Trade
Recently, the General Office of State Council forwarded the Opinions on Expanding Imports and Promoting the Balanced Development of Foreign Trade (or “the Opinions”) released by Ministry of Commerce and others.
According to the Opinions, the decision and deployment made by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council about advancing the win-win and opening-up strategy should be carried out to bring into full play the positive role of export in satisfying the people’s demand for consumption upgrading, accelerating the systematic and institutional innovation, promoting the upgrading of economic structure and improving the international competitiveness, to further expand the import while stabilizing the export, facilitate the balanced development of foreign trade, push forward the high-quality economic development and defend the free trade.
The Opinions raise the policy and measures to expand the import and promote the balanced development in foreign trade from the following four aspects.
First, optimize the import structure and promote the upgrading of production and consumption;
Second, optimize the international market layout;
Third, fully leverage the facilitation role of multiple channels;
Fourth, improve the conditions for trade liberalization and facilitation.
