New regulations on online catering service supervision to be promulgated, each online food ordering service provider without real store to be fined at least 50,000 Yuan

On February 10, the China Food and Drug Administration released the Administrative Measures for Online Catering Service Supervision (Draft for Comments) ("2017 Draft for Comments") The draft requires that any online catering service provider must have a real store and hold a food business license, otherwise it will be fined at least 50,000 Yuan. If the value of food involved in illegal production and operation is more than 10,000 Yuan, a fine of more than ten times and less than 20 times the value shall be imposed.
