Over 460 cases about IPR infringement and piracy were handled in Q1, 2018

On April 12, it was learned from National Office against Pornographic and Illegal Publications that, from January to March, over 1.5 million items of pornographic and illegal publications were seized nationwide and about 460 cases of IPR infringement and piracy were tracked down.

According to the competent official from National Office against Pornographic and Illegal Publications, since this year, the Office had strengthened inspection on cultural market and handed a large batch of cases about IPR infringement and piracy based on public tip-off. In addition to traditional pirated and illegal publications, the acts of IPR infringement and piracy in many other fields, like online literature, online music, online TV, online games, films and computer software, were all cracked down. Some new phenomenon of IPR infringement and piracy are worthy of attention.

The National Office against Pornographic and Illegal Publications released three cases to offer merchants and consumers warning or instruction.
