CNIPA Head led a delegation to visit WIPO

Shen Changyu held a bilateral meeting with Francis Gurry, WIPO Director-General

On September 25 local time, Shen Changyu, Head of National Intellectual Property Administration of China (CNIPA) led the delegation to visit the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and have a bilateral meeting with Francis Gurry, WIPO Director-General.

Shen said that CNIPA will continue to firmly support the WIPO work and Director-General and maintain the role of WIPO as a major platform in the global IP rule development. China is willing to develop more close and profound cooperation with WIPO.

Gurry thanked China for its constant support to WIPO. He said that China plays a key role in the world's global service system, in particular the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) and looked forward to further bilateral cooperation.

Both sides also exchanged views on the IP cooperation along the "Belt and Road", technical innovation support center, international Madrid system of trademark registration, Hague system of industrial design and China's culture week in Geneva.
