Media Outreach on China – Africa Agricultural Cooperation held in Beijing
On August 24 (p.m.), the media outreach on China – Africa Agricultural Cooperation was held in Beijing, aiming to publicize the achievements made in China’s agriculture and rural development and the cooperation between China and Africa in agriculture, enhance mutual understanding and lay a solid foundation for China-Africa agricultural cooperation.
At the meeting, the official of International Cooperation Department of Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs(MARA) introduced the agricultural cooperation between China and African countries and the development achievements made in the agriculture and rural development in China. Centering on the issues of common concern, including rural revitalization strategy, agricultural and rural policies, China-Africa agricultural investment and trade, rural poverty reduction and quality security of agricultural products, the exchanges were conducted with the media and the key areas of future cooperation in agriculture between China and Africa were also discussed.
29 media reporters from 28 African countries coming to China for training attended the outreach. The officials from the Press Department of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the relevant departments of MARA also attended the outreach.
