The 4th China – US High-level Dialogue on Anti-Monopoly held in Beijing

On February 1, the 4thChina – US High Level Dialogue on Anti-Monopoly was held in Beijing, jointly organized by National Development and Reform Commission, MOFCOM, State Administration for Industry and Commerce from the Chinese side and US Federal Trade Commission and Department of Justice from the American side. Wang Jiangping, Deputy Head of SAIC attended the dialogue and delivered a keynote speech concerning “Significance of Competition Policies on Economic Growth, Technical Innovation and National Governance”.

At the high-level dialogue, the competition organizations of both sides also exchanged their views on topics of the fair competition review system, the coordination between the competition policy and industry and the trade policy as well as future technical cooperation. On February 2, SAIC had working-level communication with US Federal Trade Commission and Department of Justice and discussed such topics as Internet anti-monopoly, the Internet–related articles in the Anti-Fair Competition Law of China, IPR anti-monopoly and protection of consumer’s rights and interests.
