The international conference “Combating IPR Infringement and Counterfeiting”

Recently, invited by the Intellectual Property Agency of Armenia and the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia, He Zhimin, Deputy Head of SIPO led a delegation forto pay a work visit to Armenian IP agency for the consultation and signing of bilateral cooperation MOU; a visit to Georgia for the participation of an international conference on “combating IPR infringement and counterfeiting” and for the signing of the work plan 2017-2018 with National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia.

He Zhimin also had a meeting with Armen Azizyan, Head of Intellectual Property Agency of Armenia, where both sides made in-depth exchanges concerning IP work update, IP strategy and policies, IP protection as well as suggestions for future cooperation. They signed the first cooperation MOU between two agencies, which marked the official establishment of their cooperative ties.

During the visit to Georgia, He Zhimin attended the international conference on “combating IPR Infringement and Counterfeiting” and addressed at the opening ceremony. He indicated that the Chinese government attached great importance to IP protection by working vigorously on the special campaign against IPR infringement and production / sale of counterfeit goods and also working together with other countries to provide better IP protection for innovators and to build better environment for technological innovation and economic development. Besides, the delegation gave a keynote speech concerning China’s practice and experience about IP protection, which draw close attention and got enthusiastic response from the participants.
