General Administration of Customs: Expands and Deepens IP Cooperation with other Foreign Counterparts

Recently, the General Administration of Customs outlined the priorities of promoting the “Belt and Road” construction, covering areas ranging from port opening-up, regulation, free trade area construction to law-enforcement cooperation. With regards to intellectual property rights, it is emphasized that law-enforcement cooperation with the counterparts of related countries must be expanded and deepened and crackdown on IP infringements and counterfeits must be enhanced to preserve the overseas image of Chinese products and serve the “going abroad” of Chinese brands.
