China Customs Made Severe Strike against IPR Infringement in Cross-border Trade
In recent years, China customs actively proposed strengthening international cooperation in intellectual property right (IPR) protection, propelled crack down on the chain of commerce of IPR infringement merchandises, and effectively restrained transnational illegal activities.
In 2016, China customs actively carried out cross-border law enforcement. In particular, it took2 times joint law enforcement with American customs over key merchandises such as auto spare parts and drug endangering life safety and health to dismantle the cross-border sale network; took joint action with Russia counterpart in postal and express delivery channel based on the frequency of IPR infringement in trans-boundary e-commerce; helped Shanghai, Huangpu, Guangzhou, Qingdao ports to participate in the regional joint action organized by Interpol and World Customs Organization; and cooperated with customs of related countries in data interchange, cases sharing, joint risk analyzing, which worked very well.
